In the 1980s in the city held an international marathon race which was followed by thousands of runners from around the world. The competition was at a distance of 50 kilometers around the city. Millions of people from around the world watched the event through television channels and broadcast to hundreds of media directly.

There is one person who is the center of attention in the race, namely Mike. Mike was a veteran of the American war, and he lost both legs due to hit the mines during the war in Vietnam. To run, Mike used both hands to throw his body forward.

And then began the race. Thousands of people began to run as fast as possible to the finish line. Their faces showed a strong spirit. The unrelenting audience applauded for continuing to support the runners. 5 kilometers have passed. Some participants seemed onset of fatigue and began to walk away. 10 kilometers have passed. Here began to appear who prepare well, and who is just along for the fun. Some participants seemed exhausted decided to stop and ride the bus to the committee.

While almost all participants have been in kilometers 5th through the 10th, Mike the hindmost ranks recently completed the first kilometer. Mike paused, opened the second glove is torn, replace it with a new one, and then re-ran by throwing his body forward with his hands. Mike's father who was with thousands of other spectators incessant crying "Come on ... Come on Mike ... Mike ran and continue".

Because of physical limitations, Mike only able to run as far as 10 kilometers for one day. At night, Mike slept in the sleeping bag that had been prepared by a committee that followed. Finally four days have passed, and today is the fifth day for Mike Wieland. Only two more miles to go.

Until now, when suddenly, only 100 meters away from the finish line, Mike tumble. Physical Mike really had expired at that time. Mike-2 rose slowly and opened his glove. Mike hands seemed there had been bloodied. The doctor who examined her side for a moment, and said that the condition is severe Mike, not because of injury in his hands alone, but more toward the heart and respiratory conditions.

Mike closed his eyes for a moment. And in the midst of the roar of the audience who support it, Mike can faintly hear his voice yelling "Come on Mike, get up! Finish what you started. Open your eyes, and then set your body. Look forward, has been in front of the finish line eyes. Quickly get up! show to all the people who you are, do not give up! Quickly get up! "

Mike slowly began to open his eyes again. That's when his eyes saw the finish line is near. Spirit began to burn again in him, and without gloves, Mike skipping ahead.

"Yeah, come on ... one leap again Mike, Mike ... Achieve what you want, Mike!" shouted his father who kept running with him. And one last leap of Mike makes his body beyond the finish line. When it burst into a roar of the crowd in that place.

Mike has not only completed the race, Mike even listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the only disabled people who successfully complete the marathon.

A few moments later, when there are dozens of reporters who met him, Mike said,

"YOU NO MATTER HOW LONG WILL GET IT ON, THE IMPORTANT YOU KEEP RUNNING. CALLED YOU FAIL IF YOU STOP. FINISHED, DO NOT STOP BEFORE YOU HAVE REACHED GOAL."
