Ketika pintu kebahagiaan tertutup, pintu yang lain terbuka, tetapi seringkali kita memandang
terlalu lama pada pintu yang tertutup hingga kita tidak melihat pintu yang lain, yang telah terbuka bagi kita
Jangan percaya penglihatan... karena penglihatan dapat menipu.  Jangan percaya kekayaan, karena kekayaan dapat sirna.

Mama ... Ibu ... Mak ... Bunda...

Ibu melahirkan kita sambil menangis kesakitan. Masihkah kita menyakitkannya?
Masih mampukah kita tertawa melihat penderitaannya?
Mencaci makinya? Melawannya?
Memukulnya? Mengacuhkannya?
Meninggalkannya?
Ibu tidak pernah mengeluh membersihkan kotoran kita waktu masih kecil,

Memberikan ASI waktu kita bayi,
Mencuci celana kotor kita,

Jeritan anak kecil

Nama-ku Desy,
Umur-ku tiga tahun,
Mata-ku bengkak…
Aku tidak bisa melihat.

Aku pasti anak yg bodoh,
Aku pasti anak yg nakal,
Apalagi yg dapat membuat,
Ayahku menjadi marah.
